Quadcopters

So went to see some fireworks and watched the QC/drone/whatever flying around video recording the event.

Got the itch to get one since they're awesome. Have been trying to justify a ridiculous purchase all day so decided to wait.

But I'm interested, anybody have one? Which one? Thoughts or opinions(about the actual units not any political/privacy talk please)?

I've narrowed down to the DJI phantom 3 advanced since I like some extra features and the use of a smart phone paired with it in unison with the controller

Yes it does, that's the one that has a limited maneuver camera

Lots of options out there so I went through some best of lists and comparison articles. Seems that for the money the DJI P3A is the best ticket. Just came out

Might see a humi cleanout in my future so my wife doesn't witness this lmao

You should get the DJI P3A. I heard the price is going to jump after this weekend. Get it!

Some nights I see/hear one flying around our neighborhood. If it wasn't so urban/suburban, I wouldn't hesitate to shoot it down.

I'm a city kid with a huge field at the end of my street so I think I'm good

They do have concerts at freedom hill by my house so would be interesting to send her in to check things out though...

@ChefBoyRG54 : I've been flying RC for many years now, although a younger friend of mine is the guy with all the quad stuff. PM me before you go spending a fortune on one. This kid I know is an expert (and quite frankly, a flippin' genuis). He flies at quadcoper contests and everything... he'll put you on the right track.
