I'm building my wineador (Edgestar 28) and about to order some beads. I've calculated (and confirmed through many posts) that 1.5# is spot on, but I'm going 2# for some cushion.
I know that it's largely a personal preference at what Rh% you keep your sticks. I'm aiming to be closer to 70%. I usually dry box the sticks before smoking.
The beads as I understand them, are specifically set for an RH%, however air flow, temp, etc all affect the Rh of the system. For those who use beads, esp. in a wineador set up, do you see your Rh% generally higher or lower than your beads?
Not sure if I'm risking holding higher than 70% if I get 70% beads.
