Question about cigar performance

I have been having some issues with a few cigars lately..

Out of the last five cigars I have had two of them have performed poorly. The three in question were a Tat Corona Gorda and a AF Destino Siglo.

I ruled out storage. My humidors sit at 68F and 62%-64% RH and all my cigars up to these sticks have performed extremely well. During the smoke, the first few inches go well but after that the draw tightens up and the cigar gets harsh and bitter. I knock the ash off to expose a cone of ash that is extremely hard and charred. I do not know why this is happening and it seems to plague some of my smokes. Any thoughts or ideas as to why this happens?

Thanks in advance!

Hygro calibration test...
How long have these cigars been in storage.....sometimes if they are smoked too young you will have this issue. I don't smoke any stock until it's been in my humidor for at least a month ( that's because I have a ton of cigars that I can smoke while the new ones rest )

A well rested cigar will alleviate the issue you talk about and just because you place a cigar into a perfect environment doesn't mean it will balance in just a short amount of time. It needs to spend enough time in your humidor to acclimate the entire cigar...which is why we run into cigars that start out good and finish lousy.

Thanks Cigary!

All of my sticks have been in storage for more than two months or so. The cigars in question I acquired from a trade and although they had been resting for a little bit it might have been just a fluke.
I will smoke one of the cigars that I know have been resting for at least 6 months and see how it performs.

Thanks again.
