Here is some info I received last week at The Show from Pete
Schrader Hispaniola Cigars
Fred Schrader, proprietor of Schrader Cellars in Napa Valley, California, has announced the release of his debut cigar effort - the Schrader Hispaniola. Schrader Hispaniola Cigars will be offered via limited production vintages as they become available with the first release “Sparky Doco-Est MMIX offered in Fall 2010.
The cigars combine three different Dominican fillers - 2001 Corojo (Ligero), 2005 Havana Vuelta Arriba (Ligero), and 2008 Criollo ’98 (Viso) with a binder of 2008 Dominican Crilollo ’98 (Seco), and a gorgeous wrapper of 2001 Honduran Colorado Habana (Viso). The cigars were hand-rolled in the spring of 2009. One thousand boxes total will be released. Each cigar will be presented in an individual wood coffin, packed ten per box. The Sparky is a 7.5” X 41/50/56 torpedo that offers exceptional depth, elegance, balance, and finesse. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $269.50 per box.
Schrader Hispaniola Cigars are manufactured by Para Ti, a small factory located just outside of Santiago, Dominican Republic. The intimate nature of the facility allows Fred direct involvement with the blending and manufacturing processes, ensuring each cigars carries forward the Schrader standard for excellence.

Pete was kind enough to hand me a Canonazos to test-drive. Here is my humble Para Ti Canonazos Review:
Appearance
Triple cap, fairly oily mocha colored, prominent veins, basic but very recognizable band, well filled.
Burn
Sharp, minor wandering. No correction needed. Fairly firm white ash with gray flecks.
Flavor
Very spicy for a Dominican cigar. Solid tobacco flavors throughout the first half with perhaps a bit of leather and Brazil nut. Second half really kicks up the flavor profiles. Warm cinnamon, toast, leather, and citrus notes. Medium bodied, perhaps medium to full for the second half. Definitely a buy for the boutique smoker looking for an addition to the rotation.
Final Thoughts
Quite different than the usual Dominican smoke. I can see this being an everyday smoke for some boutique smokers who find the Tats to be too strong for them. Definitely a buy for the boutique smoker looking for an addition to the rotation. This cigar will be htf, but merits the search. Feel free to pm me.
