Hi, all. Two questions here:

It would seem that cigar makers choose certain stores for their brands, as is understandable. You don't find Feragamo at Target. I get that. I also see that many online-presence only stores do not carry a full line of major manufacturers. Along with your local B&M, how many places do you frequent to get the lines that you want?

I'm very fortunate that I get to travel a lot, most of it now non-business related. I get to visit cigar purveyors all over, which is a real joy. Most of the time. :argh: I can drill down on this site to find B&M's in each city in the U.S.; what I can't tell is which one's are special overseas, and worth the time to visit. Would you all be good enough to list your favs outside the U.S.? Hope that this does not conflict with site sponsors.

Thanks, and Best-

I'm not the most travelled so I can only help you with my local B&M's. I frequent two in particular, I'll tell you why for each. First is Cuenca Cigars, 1928 Harrison Street in Hollywood Fl ~ Great atmosphere relaxed inside with a little bit of traffic outside seeing as how it's located downtown (a small one), friendly staff and owners, and a steady flow of newly created sticks. Second, is Stix Cigar Lounge, 4 South Federal Highway in Dania Beach ~ A much more quieter and reserved crowd if that's what you want. I've recieved a ton of "old-timer" advice from the guys there. Plus, it's only a five minute walk from my house. Hope this helps next ti,e you come to SoFlo.

Thanks, appreciate the thoughts, but I don't want to piss off the site sponsors, so let's stick with overseas only. People pay good money to advertise here, and they deserve . Just trying to be a Good Newb....

Hey mods, can we make this a sticky?

So you're looking for international sources that sell domestic cigars? That's usually a very expensive proposition. Or you're looking for ISOM sources.

I can't vouch for overseas, haven't been. Not sure how much you get to my neck of the woods, but I can recommend Just for Him (Springfield, MO) and Outlaw Cigar Co (Overland Park, KS). I also purchase from Atlantic quote a bit (they're a site sponsor) and I've had good experiences with Federal. Emerson's also has a great selection and prices.

Hey mods, can we make this a sticky?
If they feel it should be a sticky, they'll sticky it .

I love to browse in cigar shops the way that my wife likes to shop for shoes....If I am in a foreign country, its a guilty pleasure for me to scrounge around for a stick that I don't have. Its not about the money. Its about spending time gazing at my version of The Louvre.

It is a rule here that you cannot discuss sources of Cuban cigars. Unless you want to find non-Cuban cigars outside of the US...your question will not get answered.

I love abroad, so I can't find Garcia cigars at my local place, but I can find Cubans. They are so expensive, though, that I don't get any. So I order all my cigars online, places like our sponsors.

I'm not asking about Cuban sources; I'm just asking about cool B&M cigar shops overseas that are worth visiting. Places like Montecristo of Chicago, but across the pond. Nice places. I KNOW where to get CC!

In the past year I have had to do a lot of traveling for work and the first thing I do when I go somewhere is look up the local B&M stores and try to visit as many as I can. I always find something to buy and whenever I can I like yo hangout for a while and have a smoke. Have met some really great people and had some very enjoyable time. One of my favorites was in Old Town San Diego @ a shop called Churchill's. Spent 3 nights there. Very knowledgeable and friendly owners and a great bunch of regulars.

If our on-line sponsors don't have what your looking for there are alot of other on-line places that do. I'm pretty sure BestCigarPrices.com does. You just need to email others and ask.

I think some are missing part of his question. He travels a lot and wants to know if anyone has "must see" shops in foreign - non USA countries. Sort of like the B&M Finder that we have here but for other countries. At least that is how i read him.

As to what shops get what - if i can't get it at my B&M I search online until i find what i'm looking for. I use about 4-5 online stores.

The tough part of NC cigars oversees from what I understand is that they have to work with the import export laws of said country. Hence just starting to see people like Tats, Ligas and MF cigars now just starting to show up in areas of Germany, UK, etc. I know that there are a couple shops that each of the above listed manufacturers have relationships with and even have shop exclusive cigars with. I apologize but cannot think of them off the top of my head. Maybe be able to help you out a bit more if there is a specific manufacturer or cigar that you are looking for. A lot of oversees brothers here too that might be able to put a little more insight into.
