While hangin' with my new buddies this morning, the leaf gang! Jolietfire mentioned that we have not seen many cigar reviews on the board lately and I would have to agree. So I enjoyed a couple this morning with some guys that I can call friends.

1st up was a new favorite cigar thanks to The Burning Leaf having an outstanding selection... A PDR Classico Seleccion. Now these cigars are Dominican and I really enjoy Domincan tobacco. This had that nice distinct dom earthiness that I enjoy the construction was flawless it burned slightly crooked but didn't affect the flavor. It did get slightly bitter at the end but otherwise it was great and I look forward to the others that I purchased.

2nd up was the Torano tribute 2008 that aquarich recommended. Excellent construction really great maduro rich flavors and a really good pricepoint. The wrapper is very brittle and split on me(Rich did warn me) but the flavor was fine.

Both cigars were very good! Can't wait for Saturday for a padron 44th!

Nice review T Man!

....I'm sure they were even better because you were smoking with the "Bombing Leaf's Consortium"

I may be that way this summer for a golf tourney. If so T, were smoking a ton of sticks. Your tounge will be fried and your liver a hurtin when I leave.

First off where are you golfing? My inlaws are members at the Beverly Country Club and if you give me some advance notice maybe you could use a tee time there? If you would like to golf with my FIL, he's pretty good, I think a 10 or 15 handi. Would love to meet you in person Chris and those feelings you described I welcome them especially when my friend is feeling the same way, lol!

Thanks for the review T! I've got both the Opus X lost city and the Cohiba G R both on paper. Tomorrow I'll put the on the board.

It's going to be AWESOME on Saturday!
I'm planning on coming down on Saturday. There was "rules" posted a couple of days ago...but just checking here. What/how many sticks should I bring? The only out of the ordinary stick that I have is a Puerto Rican cigar called Don Collins. I have a small selection left that I plan on bringing a few of.

Don't worry jbott there are fantastic stix to buy at the leaf included the awesome padron 44's... can't wait to smoke mine early with Tim and then take a nap before the party gets started, lol! Jbott you might actually get a couple of nice cigars while you're there depending on what you wear:wink: You will have to be initiated into the leaf club properly!
