Anyone into this? I jumped in with both feet when a neighbor of mine started getting into it a while back. I love the idea and would probably get involved if i had unlimited time, but I just don't. Getting ready to drop my transmitter (RC controller) and receiver as well as my battery charger (used once) on Ebay. Wanted to post this here real quick to see if anyone here had any interest first. Would rather pass along to a brother than a stranger.

I was at my son's Science Olympiad this weekend and one of their experiments was flight and a couple of the judges were playing with one and the wife and I both got the bug.

FWIW, there's going to be an exhibit of them at the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds on April 3 and I plan on being there.

It's a ton of fun, no doubt. It also takes some serious practice to get things straight in your head. If you get into it, be sure to start out slow on the airplanes. Don't go buying the hottest most expensive plane when you are most likely going to plow it into the ground!

Oh, and if anyone really is thinking of getting into this, shoot me a PM and help me part ways with this equipment!

Its been a while since I have flown but used to fly all the time with my father. We flew 1/3 scale size planes (flown by engines the size of lawn mowers and props about 3 feet long) when I was in high school (the pic is around when I was about 16/17 (30 now). I miss it...my father passed...god rest his soul...
