gauge: 44
Great looking cigar with minimal veins showing. Smooth to the touch, good weight, and packed well. The smell is sweet and grassy.
1st Third
Right off the bat I got a really strong saltyness on the wrapper. The draw was a bit tight but loose enough to produce a thick cloud of smoke. The flavors I got of the bat were that of grassy tobacco with a hint of coffee. After about an inch it settled into a stronger black coffee hints with salty/nutty aftertaste.
2nd Third
Pretty consistent as far as the flavors go. The draw is still a bit firm but the amount of smoke is amazing and the ash is nice and firm. The nuttyness is starting to pick up a bit more, almost a cashew flavor I think. Also hints of chocolate here and there.
Final 3rd
As I close this cigar out it becomes a little bitter near the end and hot. I can still taste the salt on my lips which I normally don't get from cc's. Somehow I think this may have helped with some of the flavors I was picking up on.
Final Thoughts
This cigar to me was pretty good. Not amazing but not a let-down either for a limited edition Ramon release. I would recommend this cigar without a worry and say it is worth the money to keep a few on hand. It burned for almost 1hr-20mins with a solid Med-full body.
