Ramón Allones Celestiales Finos- Edición Regional (Asia Pacific) - 2009
Length: 5.4 Inches
Ring: 46
Smoked: 11/5/10

Decided to take out one of my other RE releases from Allones before smoking the Lusitanos that weekend.

It started off nice. Perfect draw, sweet, woody taste with pleasant floral notes.

After the first inch or so, the strength immediately picked up. I was still getting a woody taste, but now I was getting some spice and leather to boot. There was quite a bitter aftertaste coming from this thing as well.

As the smoke progressed, the leather and bitter flavors became more prominent. This is one tannic cigar. I'm hoping this spells good things for the future.

Here's a shot of a slight burn issue I encountered when nearing the end. Nothing new to report in the taste department. The strength kept ramping up, and the leathery, tannic bitterness came with it. This is unlike any Allones cigar I've had to date.

This is about where I ended the smoke. I'm hoping these develop into some fine cigars in the future. I would hate to think I've invested in something that could've gone to something else. These are going in for the long nap.
Thanks for reading!

Yup, I have had about 5 of these and they are all very blah. They are supposed to have 2 year old tobacco so for being a 2009 (3 years old) I would think they would have something going for them but they just don't. These and the Estupundos are terrible IMO. I think the way to go is the German (Alemanina) RA Belis...those are terrific now and will just get better...the Portugal short robos are good as well. IMO.

Nice review and pic's!

Your pic's are bigger than life my brother.
LoL. Sorry. Photobucket took a while to refresh the photo sizes.

Yes sir had to adjust my screen a little...Nice Review & pics my brother!

p.s - Do you use the gloves regularly? I've been thinking about it for this winter, any complications?
When it's cold enough, yes. No complications. Those particular gloves are about 2 years old, I think, and they still smell like dead cow skin. :hysterica

Nice review...But you still had atleast an inch to smoke before the nub. Was it burning hot?
Besides my phone taking horrible photos at night, the bitter taste just got overwhelming for me. I smoked it slightly further than the final picture, but I figured the cigar wasn't going to give me any new flavors. So, it was time to let it go.

Ha...ha...gotcha, think im gonna give it a try. Thanks
:) Cool. As long as the gloves allow you the dexterity to handle the cigar (no mittens, yes?), there shouldn't be any problems. The only warning I'd give is to light the cigar first. Or if you ever need to correct a burn problem, you may want to take the glove off so you don't accidentally singe it.
