Ramon Allones Specially Selected "good" years

I'm going overseas and looking to buy a box of PSD #4 and RASS. I've heard RASS has had some production issues recently. Can anyone give feedback to the "good" years of production?

This is my first Cuban purchase and I'm diving in head first w/ 2 boxes. :devil: I wanted to get a box Monte #2's as well, but I'm trying to use some self-control for once. But I might not be able to resist since I NEED all 3 boxes.

Bill is right, but to answer those non-American brothers, or those merely curious, I'd suggest to first sample some CCs in fivers, or the sort. After all, if ye don't like them, ye're stuck with a whole bloody box! Now, considering the "full box" thing, I'd suggest an easy to get recent date. Like an 08 RASS box I have that shows some neat potential. PSD4 has never let me down and the Monte No.2...age is good there, but if I may suggest an option B I would have never found out without the suggestion of a mate of mine, get some Diplomáticos No.2 with age on them instead. Chuck was right when he suggested me that.

I haven't heard of any construction issues with recent RASS. The '06-'08 were good years, IMO.

Samplers are the way to go with any cigar versus buying a box.

Don't just get one, though, as you may be unlucky enough to get that one bad cigar of the box, thus ruining your opinion of that brand forever.

Get 3-4 cigars of multiple brands...You'll get much more variety instead of 50 cigars of just 2 brands.

Hard to say which is better, both are awesome. Third at around that size'n'price you should try out is El Rey Del Mundo Choix Supreme.
