I just had an RASCC that was sent to me in a PIF on CW. Needless to say, it was a wonderful little smoke. I know I probably should have let it rest a couple days, but I HAD to light it up.
Construction was nice, a bit rough and veiny, but I have yet to find a TPC that is perfect, maybe a Siglo I? lol
The prelight was wonderfully sweet and woodsy. I savored this for a few minutes. It was a different flavor than any other that I had experienced.
As I lit it, the note was almost sickly sweet and fragrant. I took the first draw, and it came as a shock that the flavor hit right away. Very, very earthy, woody, and cool. Almost a minty tingle, or was it a slight spice? It also had a hint of sweetness and cocoa. This was a nice change from the sweeter smokes I've been used to. I swear for some reason I tasted pickle brine for a few puffs, but I could have been dreaming. The cigar just kept getting stronger and better until the very end. It didn't seem to get any more complex, just that it kept amplifying. Truly unique for me. I was sad to put it down, but it was literally scorching my mouth and fingers at 1/3 inch
As far as the burn went, it tunnelled to begin with, so it required a major touchup and continually burned slower on one side. I'm just going to write this up on the fact that it had been in the mail for a few days. The ash seemed to hang on for about an inch. It was gray with black stripes here and there.
Directly after the smoke, I would NOT dare drive a vehicle. I stared at things for what seemed like hours on end and my mind seemed to wander, yet I could concentrate on whatever I was doing. I seriously felt out of body, much different from any ISOM I've smoked. Maybe this cigar would go well with a stiff drink?
All in all, a wonderful little powerhouse. I'll have to fire up a couple more to get an overall feel for how much I like them. I would be seriously amazed if the next one gave me the same euphoria.
Based on my first experience, I'd hit it twice
Let me know what you gentlemen thought about this little beauty.
