Wrapper looks very rough and its very dark (again pics can be deceiving) but if it is a fake it's one of the better ones.
Normally the angle is a bit sharper where the circular part of the band meets the straight bit but it could be perspective with the close up.
I reckon light it up and if it's got the wood, leather, cinnamon notes or anything half enjoyable I'd call it a win!

Yeah, I'd want to see a photo in more natural light, and showing the whole cigar. Too hard to make a judgement in that lighting, with that much zoom, with that much blur. I lean heavily towards fake, based on the printing of the band (the logo looks too thick), but that could be the lighting combined with the blur making everything look thicker than it actually is.

I lean fake due to the pointyness of it.

Honestly no idea from that pic but I love me #2s. Reminds me of my inlaws who always seem to have a single CC they want to give to me. Other day my father in law was like oh you want a Cohiba? Its been sitting in my car for a couple months. Yeaaaaaah.....

I am not sure myself. I have had both well constructed and not so great Monte's. One thing to remember is the two most counterfeited brands are Montecristo and Cohiba. I understand this one was a gift (very generous at that) but the best advise I can give is know your source and you won't have to ask the question...

It appears you have edited the picture. It looks like the contrast has been amped up. Maybe the black point and brightness too. A basic unedited picture might help.Someone gave this to me as gift. Real or fake?
