Been wondering about this stuff myself. Was thinking of picking up some Partagas Lusi's or some Punch DC's. But to answer your question,...i pick the Lusitanias over the Boli's.

All 2010 and 2011 bolivars have been excellent. I have 4 boxes from these years and they're all spot on.
I have recent boxes of Bolivars that are smoking well but not the Coronas Gigantics.

Have you smoked any of the Coronas Gigantics?

Fired up an 09 Lusi with the moring coffee and Sunday paper and it was fantastic. Usually I'd let these sit longer before sampling however I think H SA has tippped their hand and might discontinue all Cabs that still offer cigars in 25ct flat boxes.

It might be time to go deep on these to lock up some cabs that will be future classics, imo

If you like your Lusis round you can always get a box of 10.

I have a box of DIC 10 BCGs, but haven't smoked any yet. Still have almost a full box of 03s. Maybe I'll "take one for the team" in a couple days & fire up a 2010.:cbig:

Great point. I usually shy away from 10ct because, well, I'm a pig.

I was considering pulling the trigger on a 50ct of BCG but my favorite vendor is out of the TEB 08's. Between the Esplendido, HUSW, and some older Tanios, both, I have put away I really don't need another cigar in this size.

Hope I'm not missing something special

Bass Man:

That would be cool if you did a review of the 2010's. Inquiring minds want to know:)

OK gentlemen. I've just finished smoking a PUL DIC 10 Bolivar Corona Gigante. It was an excellent but very perplexing cigar. Perfect draw & nice even burn, but none of the earthiness I expect in a Bolivar. Instead, the flavors were cedar & leather throughout. While the flavor was consistant, the strength & body developed from a mild start through medium and ended quite full bodied & strong. Truth be told, if smoked blind I would never have guessed Bolivar. It had much more in common with my 2010 Sir Winstons than my 2003 BCGs. So, an excellent cigar, but not at all what I expected from a BCG.
