As some of you may know from other posts of mine, I stumbled on a deal and purchased a large number of cigars for not a whole lot of cash.

In any case, these cigars are on the dry side. Is there any way to effectively and safely bring them back to proper humidity levels without damaging them? I threw them in the walk-in humi at work when I bought them... but I'm curious if there is anything else that I should be doing?

Any input is appreciated.

My local cigar shop is famous for their cigars being on the dry side. When I purchase from them, I put them at the top of my humidor for a few weeks to a few months before I smoke them. By that time, they're good to go.

Just avoid overhumidfying them quickly, you can split wrappers. I put dry cigars in a sealed box for the first month or two to let them very slowly start comiing back, after that they are fine. If yours are just a little dry and not overly dry you may not need to do even that.
