I was putting in an order through my favorite supplier when he told me about a box of Cupido's he found resting in the basement of their warehouse...since May of 1999!

I smoked one last night and they were smooth and extremely complex. The flavor profile changed 3-4 times during the smoke. Leather, nutmeg, vanilla and a pleasing floral sweetness...lucky find!

Anyone else have smokes that have rested for so long?

I have a box of AVO 75th Anniversary's which was AVO's limited release in 2001. Been smoking one a year for four years and I'm actually a little disappointed with its performence. Will advise when I fire up the next one.

Back in 98 I was given a box of R&J 125th anniv churchills. Came in a nice desktop type humidor... I have maybe 3 left from the box. I smoked one last year, and it really had not much left to it. Mild cigar to begin with, so really only thing that stood out to me was some cedar flavors. I never was really keen on the size of them, since they were churchills. I gave half away over time, and smoked 1 here and there. I'm just hanging on to them, because they are the oldest sticks I have.

No, but I am very envious. Cupido's were one of the only cigars back in the boom days worth the inflated prices. Nice find!

I have a box of AVO 77's that I traded some CC's for from a guy at the local B&M. I think I have 5 or 6 left. I make sure he's at the lounge when I smoke one because I like to hear him complain that I'm killing him! I think he's got a little trader's remorse but he's not getting them back!

BTW, Cupido's suprised me the first time I tried them. I thought they were a "gimmick" cigar, but I ended up really enjoying those.
