So, after almost 2 years, I return to the brotherhood. I still love flavored cigars (shame on me) but I've definitely found plenty of naturals I love. CAO Brazilia, Alec Bradley MAXX, HDM Excalibur, just to name a few. Anyway, I hate to admit but I'm still new to the game, but that's OK because I have a lifetime to learn. Can anyone recommend some decent every day smokes that I can actually afford as a college student? Then also, maybe a few higher end smokes for those special occasions? With your recommendations maybe you could include the best place to purchase said cigar? Glad to be back.

Welcome back Metzroth! I didn't know you before, but hopefully i can get to know you now! Where do you attend school? What are you studying? One of our Vendor's Famous-Smokes is having a great sale, and Tim at Burning Leaf is always running great sales. Check out our retailers section on the site!

Welcome back I'm also a college student and know the struggle with money. Even though I am not a traditional student hence I will be 45 in July. It still cost the same for me.

Inexpensive smokes that I usually recommend from light to full are La Gloria Wavell Natural, AF Curlies, AJ Hernandez Deisel. Unfortunately you'll get bored with them after a while, with the exception of the AF they're pretty one dimensional. YMMV

Appreciate the suggestions guys! I have a sampler coming that will probably take me a week to smoke. I've been thinning out some of the smokes in my humi and pretty soon I will be ordering a couple boxes (between me and some buddies hopefully). Anyone looking to make an order any time soon and want to split a box? Maybe even four ways? Honestly at the stage I'm at, I'd much rather find several people to split a box with and order 2 or 3 boxes so that I can try different things. Besides that, variety is the spice of life, am i right?

I currently live in Southern Illinois and was attending SIUC. I have decided to move back home to Springfield, IL and start attending UIS. I was majoring in Forestry but will probably be majoring in Business management, or Criminal Justice.
