Alrighty brothers and sisters of the leaf, here I am with yet another review! Lets have some fun with this one. I am reviewing a mystery cigar that I received in the mail from one of those infamous "Shuckin bombs". This stick is about 4.5 inches long, with an estimated ring gauge of 48. If I had to come up with a price for this baby, I would estimate it at about a 5-6 dollar stick.
Hey shuckins, if you read this could you please divulge what this cigar's true identity is? If not, I'd love people to guess what they think upon reading my review.
This particular stick was medium brown in color. It had small, dark veins that gave it an appealing, interesting look. It was firm to the touch, with a very nice balanced pre-light draw. It smelled very mild at first, but I soon discovered that It packed quite a punch in the beginning!
Here is one of my friends modeling the cigar:
It was a brisk fall night on the UAlbany campus.
This mystery stick sparked up quite well. Burn was even, and had a nice, caramel aroma to it. The smoke was plentiful, and the burn was even throughout needing no touch ups.
The cigar started off with quite an unexpected kick! Quite a lot of spice out of the first few draws, with a pleasantly smooth aftertaste. There was a slight earthiness on the finish which, as you will read later, really shined through at the end.
Deeper along into the first third, and it's starting to cream out a bit with hints of vanilla. Spice still through the nose, but definitely calming down. Flavor stayed consistent with this throughout the rest of the section.
The start of the second third is quite enjoyable indeed. It has a vanilla pretense with a deep, earth aftertaste. Spiciness returned for a final fight within the last bit of the second third of this cigar.
The particular table I was sitting at had a bit of graffiti on it...(college kids...)
Spice continues into the final third, but midway through this section, fades away. Next it took on an earthy flavor, with a nutty finish to it.
The last bit of this mystery stick stayed pretty consistent with the rest of the final third. A touch of dark chocolate accompanied it all the way to the end.
And I lay yet another cigar to rest.
Cigars are quite enjoyable amongst friends! (Even if the only come out for the last bit...)
Wasting my butane...:angerhead
Overall I really enjoyed this mystery cigar. I would rate it at an 86/100. I probably would smoke this one again, but would not go out of my way to seek it out.
Thank you to Shuckins for providing a nice specimen to help me tone my reviewing skills.
Now I'm off to bed...8:45 class :frownno:
See ya guys next time!!
