Damn, I loved his creations.

RIP Boyd

I hope you're cruising around up there.

Wow! I wonder what he died from. It reminds me of when I heard that Indian Larry passed...(He was a famous motorcycle builder)

I agree that was a great loss, but at least Boyd wasn't trying to stand on top of a car that was moving when he died.

I'm pretty sure that's how Larry would have wanted to go. Wasn't it on top of a bike?

Yes he had a tradition of testing his bikes by standing onit as it was moving. It got away from him and he smacked his head on the ground. It was during a shoot for Biker Buildoff, all you saw was him falling and then the showed the In Memorium of Indian Larry. Was deffinetly a bummer, but I always thought it was a stupid thing to stand on your bike.

To say he would have wanted to die on a bike or that he would have wanted to die like that always seemd wierd to me. I ride skateboards that go way to fast and i love it. There is always the chance you lose control and may die, but I certainly wouldn't want to die that way. Peacefully in my sleep seems at a ripe old age seems better to me. A great< early loss of life from an extremely talented artist.

I certainly meant no dis-respect, I just never understood "that's how he wanted to go". But i guess I just don't want to go. Do I have that option?

I don't want to go either! I'm a huge biker fan and I just think that Larry died doing what he loved, but given the choice I'm sure he would have wanted to stay around awhile longer. I'm anxious to see what happened to Boyd. He looked pretty healthy on his show??

I've had 2 vehicles in the past, with Boy'ds wheels on them.

Style and quality, sad to see a master pass.
