Well, Dick Clark passed away from a massive heart attack. After having several strokes and still maintaining his appearance on New Years Eve TV celebratins, it is a sad day. Dick Clark is reponsible for launching many a career and helping so many in Music, as well as created several long running TV shows, like American Bandstand.

He will truly be missed!

yeah... people were sometimes mad at the studio for putting him there on NYE in the later years, like he was a gimmick or trinket... but I like to think that he wanted to be there. his voice was NYE as long as I can remember.

RIP

American Bandstand, $25,000 Pyramid, New Years Eve, Bloopers and Practical Jokes and many others have left me with very fond memories of Dick Clark.

RIP Dick
