Alright, I have owed this review for quite some time now. I actually smoked this cigar quite some time ago, but a number of things have kept me from actually writing up the review. Call me an NC.
I was fortunate enough to go to IPCPR this year, and hang out with a number of great BOTLs. Aaron (gibbleguts) was one of them. One of the cigars he had brought with him was the LGC Exclusivo Cuba, which he planned to hit someone with. However, that person was unable to make the trip. As a result, he smacked me with it, and asked that I review it. Aaron knows that I had smoked it, but I apologize for the long delay in posting the review.
The Deliciosos is 5 x 48 in size, with very good construction. It has a slightly oily wrapper with minimal veins and a well formed triple cap.
The pre-light draw has a leafy flavor, with some light spice. After lighting, the first third of the Deliciosos offers a complex smoke. The flavor is leafy, with a mix of graham cracker, cinnamon, nutmeg and caramel. There is a slight bit of pepper on the finish.
The second third offers up a leafy/woody flavor, with notes of cinnamon and nutmeg. The burn has been very good, requiring little if no touch-ups. The ash is a dark gray.
The final third of the Deliciosos is woody, with bits of cedar, mixed with cinnamon and nutmeg. The burn remained excellent, right down to the nub
I was really impressed with this cigar, which is very young. I am looking forward to having the chance to smoke one once it has some time to age, as I think it will be a tremendous smoke. Overall smoke time was about 80 mins.
