Robaina will be at IPCPR

Thanks to WB for highlighting this article about Hirochi Robaina helping to blend a Nicaraguan Puro cigar. This part of the article shocks me: Robaina himself will be at the IPCPR trade show to promote the new line. Additionally, Robaina will be going on tour after the trade show, visiting the top retailers of HR during in-store events.

I imagine it's likely the wrapper for this project to be from his work in Equador. If so, it at least partly answers what was going to happen with his involvement there. Looking forward to trying it.

The Robaina's are tobacco growers in Cuba. This ^^ link is a nice article Cigar Aficionado wrote a few years ago. Vegas Robaina was created to honor the family and patriarch Alejandro. Does make one wonder if he will still maintain his involvement in the family farm. Hope to know more too.
