Worth a try?

I'm a fan of the original, at least the vitolas I've had.

Is it at least a similar flavor profile? Obviously isn't going to be the same cigar, but if its similar enough, I'd like to grab a box or two while they're still available

Didn't personally hit my palate good. I had the lance but didn't go back for more. One dimensional in my opinion (not a bad thing, just didn't like the one dimension I got out of it)

I think the lance is good. I looked the silver better
This ^^^^ agree on both accounts. Havent had the other sizes.

And don't buy a box thinking the wrapper is san andres negro and you're getting a maduro'd daruma.. as you'll be kinda disappointed like I was. Their marketing was very deceptive with this release, using only the regions name which is 99.9% of the time a dark maduro leaf that sells cigars, and I TOTALLY fell for it! (And I VERY rARely fall for marketing tricks) But its still a very, very good smoke, not far from its silver counterpart..

I enjoyed the few Mutantes I had. I was hoping the wrapper would have been a few shades darker as well based on it being a SA as mentioned above too. But overall a solid smoke with good resting potential.

If I smoke this cigar, it's the last one I smoke of the day. For some reason it messes up my palate and am unable to enjoy other sticks after it. I have a box of the churchills and lanceros. I agree the original Daruma is GREAT in the lancero format.
