It's been a few years since this was asked and I'm going to be at Casa De Habano Cozumel tomorrow. In regards to Habanos... What's good ROTT?

I was at an lcdh in st maarten last week and likewise you may find some older sticks than you think. If you are treating yourself then I recommend targeting an edicion limitada or regional release if they have them.

I found two different 2007 ELs, monte no1 from 2008, 2011 trini fundi, and 2001 cohiba lance.

Take your time and find the treasure :) don't be afraid to flip the boxes and check date stamps

Definitely agree. But also take the box codes with a grain of salt if the boxes are open and selling singles. Boxes can simply be refilled (for various reasons) and they won't even be trying to scam you. It happens in Cuba... many people don't buy singles for that reason as well as more chances of getting fakes.

If I were you, get an Edmundo Dantes if you didn't last time. It's the Mexican Regional only to be found in Mexico. You're looking at a pretty penny, but something unique. For something on the cheaper end good ROTT, go with a Romeo y Julieta Exhibition #4. Maybe a Monte #4 since you like Montecristo. Enjoy your trip man... I have friends that just flew down to Playa yesterday. Ironic to be leaving this great sunny weather! lol :)

Interesting point, didn't think about that

Although the EL would hold true :)

I ended up smoking a Monte #4 while there and it was excellent all the way through. I picked up a couple others while there (Monte #4, Monte Double Edmundo, Dante and a Partages Especial).
Im gonna create a separate post for this CDH with pics...
