The Grey Rooster
So, I wake up today and started on the morning routine. For some reason the house feels way colder than normal, but whatever, it's an older apartment in South Philadelphia and that's nothing too surprising.
Getting ready took too long, so I was running behind. The sweater I put on had a food stain on it that I noticed running out the door, too late to change.
Miss the first subway and have to wait for the next one. Not too bad, but still no fun to be running behind.
The next train arrives and I get on. I scan the open seat near me for any junk. It looks clean, so I sit down and relax for a minute, happy to finally be on my way.
I get to school and head into my classroom and get my bags squared away, then head next door to see what my grade partner has planned. As I sit down, I notice the back of my leg feels really wet. I take a look, and sure enough, it's wet with some unidentifiable substance. Upon closer look, it may be puke. Yep, it's puke.
I've got a tough stomach so I just wipe it off and start laughing. "What an out-freakin-standing morning!" I thought. It can only get better from here.
And sure enough, it did!
One of the guys that works an administrative roll here hooks me up with these:
He knew I liked a Perdomo he got me a few months back, and he keeps telling me to get a Padron.
Well, he took the liberty to do this for me.
Wow. Talk about turning around someones day!
