Russell's reserve small batch single barrel bourbon?

Hey guys,

I saw this and it caught my eye in the liquor store. Have any of you tried it? It appears to be 110 proof and about 8-9 yrs old for $44 and wanted some info before I dropped the coin on it.

It's very good. I'd say it's pretty much worth the price tag, though it's not on my top 5 list or anything.

Went ahead and bit the bullet on this stuff. Pretty dang impressed with it! It has a dill and vanilla thing going on for the nose and a caramel, tobacco, vanilla, and sweet peppercorn palate.

I've had the 10yo version (might be the one you bought, not sure off hand) and was very impressed with it considering the price I paid. It treated my palette good :grin:

You did get the single barrel and not just the small batch? The single barrel blows the regular small batch out of the water (as expected).

What price do you get it for? My local has it for $43.99 which is pretty solid considering the bourbon craze and what you get out of that bottle.

I bought the 10yr small batch for around $32ish I think. Not sure I've seen the single barrel yet.

The single barrel is crazy good. It has a crazy oily viscosity that is similar to the btac barrel proofs.
