RyJ Mille Fleurs

(SOM 17)

Cannot remember the month.

Prelight- Tobacco, bitter citrus, slight barnyard

First Third- Dry hay, butter, and honey into citrus and orange peel. Butter and citrus are dominant in the first third. Draw gets a little uneven and I touch it up a bit. Mostly butter with a hint of salt and lemon, and a faint hint of cream hiding in the background. Ash let go at one inch.

Second Third-Sweet fruit and floral notes are beginning to move forward out of the salted butter. Nice and mild right now with slightly complex flavors. The burn gets a bit uneven at times but self corrects. Floral notes enter the foreground followed by butter, salt, and honey. Slight wood begins to develop within the butter as we enter the end of the second third. Burn issues continue. Flavors are wonderful though. Another touch up with the lighter.

Final Third-Body become more medium. Floral and butter notes are in the foreground, with wood and a very faint amount of spice in the background. The spice begins to intermingle with honey, delightful. These flavors intermingle with spice increasing slightly as we move toward the nub. Smoking time, I took it slow, around 50 minutes.

A very nice experience overall.
