Well the trend to make bigger and bigger cigars and slapping on extra bands is on and I wanted to try the new RYJ WC.

The cigar is rolled MAR 10 and is probably one of the youngest ccs I hae ever smoked that wasnt a LE.

Well Ill just keep it short and say it was rolled very good, pretty big cigar but burned almost as good as a nc and no softspots or anything else that I could find. This is a good cigar that I liked, not the typical RYJ profile and it has been rolled for smoking right out of the box it seems.

I liked it and it keept me intrested and pulling the trigger on a box of them is a good idea.

Anyone else had them?

Sorry I have not had these, would you say there as good as the Short Churchill's?
I didnt like the short churchill and imo they are much better and more balanced, the short one just dont have the time to develope what they want!

How would you compare these to the Dukes? I have heard they were not like the Dukes although good in there own right. Not as full flavored as Duke.

I have not heard great things about the dukes, the price keeps alot of people from buying them and because of that I have not tryed them! They are a bit overpriced and from what I hear they have not sold much of them so if you just wait you will probably see them for a much better price in the future!

Damn, it seems I have to get me a stick and see how it is! I dont like the RYJ regular line cause they just dont do it for me, when I have them money to buy cigars, so much else that is so much better.
That said the guys I ask for opinions about cigars have been smoking ccs for over 20-30 years. They have very high expations of a LE and when you set a high price on something, it has to better. I had a hard time understanding alot of what they ment when we tryed cigars togheter but when I started smoking old ccs from 70-80s I get it.
But one thing about the dukes, they look great!:smokingbo

As mentioned the big ring gauge turns me off on the RyJ wide Churchills. The only way I'll ever try one is if someone gifts me one.

The RyJ Dukes that I've tried have all been very good.

I will say when I lit up the Duke I spent a few minutes just trying to get used to the feel. It was not a comfortable feeling. I tend to like CGs and Her#4 a lot more. That said I did enjoy it once I got used to it.
