How do you ship cigars (and keep them safe?) With it being over 100 degrees today, I've been worrying about shipping and keeping them intact. Nobody wants to receive garbage sticks... So, how do YOU ship? just a ziploc and boveda? or something more secure? I order online, and it comes pretty unsecured, BUT, I now pay extra for fast delivery, and still worry.. I've already received a beetle filled 5er this summer.. :wtf: Thinking about some sort of insulation? I know tossing them in the humi for a week should perk them back up... but who wants to wait a week!?!

When I ship, it's generally in a 5 finger bag with a Boveda via Priorty Mail (two day). I try not to ship after after Thursday, to avoid them sitting for that extra day (Sunday). Two days though, even in that sort of heat isn't a huge deal, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

USPS flat rate usually.
Never had a problem, never had a beetle issue other than one time and that was hand delivered to me. How do you think the cigars make it to the US?

Freeze everything! I got my first sign of a beetle over 3 yrs ago in a 30 buck cigar. It ate out of the cello in my cooler and I had to go searching. Never found it but monitored closely and never saw any sign of it again. Other time was this past Xmas SS (not here) some old 1960 machine mades, froze em and noticed they'd been trying to eat their way to safety.
