Length: 4.37
Ring Gauge: 42
Country Manufactured: Cuba
Filler: Cuba
Binder: Cuba
Wrapper: Cuba
Color: Colorado
Strength: Medium-Full
Shape: Petit Corona
Appearance/Construction 8/10
Very solid construction with a firm pack. The wrapper showed no real visible veins and a had a consistent and uniform color. The cap cut easily and cleanly. The pre-light draw was easy and actually felt as though it might be a bit loose but this was not the case post light.
Smoking Characteristics 15/20
The foot took flame well. The burn line wandered a bit for the first 1/2 inch or so but did correct itself without need of touch up. The draw was perfect and produced generous plumes of creamy smoke. It held a good 1 inch of off white and gray flecked ash and probably would have held more but I removed it at the 1 inch mark.
Flavor/Aroma 25/35
The pre-light aroma was very sweet tobacco with a slight earthy note. The flavors were cedar, earth with a very prominent spiciness through the first inch at which point the spiciness diminished slightly. At about the halfway mark a subtle sweetness reminiscent of dried cherries presented itself and lingered slightly on the finish with the cedar, earthy, and spice in the background.
Overall Summary: 30/35
While not overly complex there were some discernible flavors backed by some very solid construction. This was a very enjoyable (almost to short)smoke.
