Hello Botl,
I've been lurking for quite a few months, so it's probably time I introduce myself. Was born and raised in the Detroit burbs. Err sticks. Moved to San Diego in 2000 and never looked back. I currently live in La Mesa.
Started with cigars while in college during the 90's cigar boom. Stopped smoking them regularly when I moved to SD. Sticks back then in CA seemed to cost 2x more than in the Midwest. ..
Anywho, used to smoke a lot of the Hemingways back then, and really liked the old CAO Maduro. When my son was born eight years ago we celebrated with a box of maduro 858's.
My dad brought me a handful of Padrons, rp 1990 something, and other decent sticks about a year ago, and I've been back in the game since.
Nowadays I'm really liking the Emilio Musa, Eastern Standard, 601 blues, Estella, and countless others.
I'm enjoying a well rested Four Kicks as i write this... Had a few of these now and some seemed better than others. This one is making the right noises.
I'm a banker which might be a bad word in some circles. But I take pride in my work and stand by my clients. In my free time I like to cook low and slow, swim, camp, play piano and bass, and tinker with an old German diesel motorcar that I drive daily.
I look forward to getting to know other botl, as my short time lurking here thus far has paid huge dividends. I've learned a great many things about the hobby and craft that I never would have figured out had I gone it alone.
So thank you and cheers!
- Matt.
