Sayonara goat palate!

Holy crap...was worried here for a while...even after taking a week off from smoking NOTHING tasted good...not LPs, Illusione Singulares, multiple habanos....IT WAS SCARY

Finishing up a LP9 pig now and I am happy to say afteralmost 2 weeks of goat palate I AM FREEE!!!!!!!!!

Anyone else had simmilar experiences??????????

Not for that long, but have MU'd a few smokes in succession because they didn't taste good.

I cant say that I have had that experience, but I am glad it was an LP9 that brought you back!

I smoked a vajae stuffed turkey that tasted like a bad head shop and all other cigars I had that day were tainted with that flavor

I was given a Java, and thought what the hell, never tried one before. I barely got through lighting it before I threw it on the ground. For several DAYS afterwards, my palate was shit. There's a reason I don't smoke infused cigars.

I've gone through that before, it only lasted about a week, though. I had some hot wings that were too spicy and my completely amateur diagnosis was that the spiciness ruined my taste buds for a week. Any cigar I smoked tasted pretty bland, including a few LPs.

It happens. Taking a few days off is is the best remedy.

I went through the same expierience last month, really sucked. I took two weeks off and start back with some mild sticks and all is good again.

Happened to me a while back. It was awful, couldn't taste a thing. I know how you feel and glad you got through it. Smoke on!

It means you smoke 1/4 of the cigar, and throw it away. Something that Mike (MUMike) does on a regular!:headroll:

This happened to me last night. Ugh!

If a cigar brings out a nasty taste/sensation and I don't MU immediately (in hopes that it will improve) then my pallet gets shot. All subsequent cigars that day will taste "off" at best.

It doesn't always take a bad stick for my pallet to malfunction. State of mind makes a BIG difference in how I perceive cigar flavors. Basically, if I'm not comfortable and relaxed, cigars tend to taste bland and subtleties are very hard to detect. This of course is ironic because we smoke cigars to relax.

I've never experienced a "bad" pallet for a period of days or weeks, that would suck!

Am going through that right now. Last 2 days pitched a My Father LE and a Prensado Churchill after smoking just a 1/3rd. The only sticks that taste good are LP9's and Viajes. I smell a conspiracy...
