Every morning for the past couple weeks I've gotten stuck behind the same wretched school bus and it's really beginning to piss me off. For the last 6 miles of my commute it travels 35 to 40 mph on a 55 mph road and of course stops frequently to pick up kidlets. It's made me late every day.
I've tried leaving a few minutes earlier but as luck would have it, I happen to pass a road leading to a school just before that last 6 miles. They've got a guy out there directing traffic so parents don't have to wait for cars to pass to get out on the highway after dropping off their kids. As soon as he sees a car coming from the school he stops traffic to let them out. On average I come to a complete stop 3-4 times trying to get past that intersection. And then I see it.........up ahead.......... the bus is pulling out of a side road in front of me. Aaaaarrrrrrgggggghhhhh!
What really gets me is when I crawl for miles behind the bus and every time it stops for kids whose parents wait in the car at the end of the driveway the bus driver let's them out in front of the bus. WTF?! I'm held up because of their kids and they get wide open road in front of the bus? That's just wrong.
