OK, I got a new Daniel Marshall humidor earlier this week and want to make sure it is properly seasoned to hold my cigars. The instructions http://www.danielmarshall.com/huminstructions.html
that came with it just say to add the supplied solution, distilled water, and cigars. It says that in 10 to 20 days the humidor will be fully conditioned. My question is won't the wood inside the box take some of the moisture out of the sticks and the credo unit requiring one to put some more water in it?
Any insight, thoughts, or opinions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I actually called them and they told me that I should go ahead and put the cigars in b/c it will help season the humidor. That struck me as odd.

if the interior lining is very dry, it could suck moisture out of your cigars. DM's way might be ok, but why take the chance.

That's odd that the humidor manufacturer would say to put the cigars in right away. Makes no sense. Season the humi first, then put the cigars in.
