semper fi?

on CI they have a semper fi 1775 cigar. camacho makes another cigar called semper fi and if you search semper fi on CI it'll come up with both in the menu that shows what it found. the images in the box look pretty similar with the 1775 being more detailed. it looks like the 1775 is the high end semper fi while the regular one is the low end, assuming both are made by camacho (i dont think they are though)

has anybody smoked one before?

and do you think they're just trying to add a cool name to a cigar so it'll sell to a particular group a lot faster? my room mate is an ex marine so that caught his eye immediately and he bought a box. i think he's gonna be disappointed

I have never smoked one before. Although I am so fond of cigars but, I haven't tasted this one.

My outlaws bought me a box a few years back as a gift for my wet down and they weren't half bad, they weren't great either but we smoked them after knocking off a keg so I wasn't looking of feeling my best to give a accurate review. My best recollection is they were a mild cigar with good construction and lots of mild tobacco flavor. I would buy them for the novelty of it for someone that was retiring/promoted/married type of scenario, but wouldn't buy them to smoke myself.

Being an old Jarhead ( Vietnam era) I had to try them. They're not bad IMO. If I remember correctly, they come in Connecticut and Maduro wrappers. To me, the maduro was the better of the 2. I think I still may have 1 or 2 stashed back in one of my humi's.
Gonna dig for them. I had forgotten about them.
