Will be making our yearly trek out to SF/Napa-Sonoma. Have gotten several recommendations but wanted to see if any of you guys had any recommendations. Doing several of our usuals and a couple of new ones. Have appts at Peter Michael, Behrens and Hitchcock, Harlan, Quintessa, Pride and Nickel and Nickel so far. Have Res's at French Laundry, Morimoto, and Mina's in SF so far.
Of course will be catching the Giants for 2 games at AT&T while my wife's working at Half Moon Bay.
LMK if you guys have any must see/do's. G1

I need to get to Paso. We do Napa/Sonoma every year more for the house we rent. Its become kind of a home away from home lol. I will be in SF for a couple of days though if anyone wants to meet up. At&t park Tuesday night and Weds afternoon, not heading up the Napa till Thursday. BTW, how's taking Caltran? I was thinking about parking at the station, Haywood Park I think was the closest and taking the train in for the games. Tuesday will be with my 4 yr old niece so I'm already trying to prep for that one lol. G1

Just a few thoughts on Napa/Sonoma. In Napa, you might want to hit up Groth and Stagsleap, a couple of my favorites.

Also for food, in Sonoma, you HAVE to go to River's End (You can hit up Korbel for sparkling wine on the way) It is on the ocean where the Russian River meets up with the Pacific. Elevated with great views and awesome food. Ignore my winery suggestions and go here if you do nothing else.

I go to Paso wine country all the time. (2 hour drive and on the way to the Central Coast) In that area, there are a few must go places. Justin is fantastic. If you like Red Zin, Turley is the best there is. I'd also recommend Cass winery great vibe at this place. (They bbq tacos on Saturdays using beef from cows at their ranch. Good stuff) Last time I was there, they had "Mimosas and Massages" Couldn't beat it! I could go on and on, but that would be my top 3.

2nd the Turley suggestion, great Zin, though they do have their Estate Zin in Napa, a little more full bodied and tannic from the warmer climate and Napa terroir. As a cigar smoker, you really should explore Paso, there's some phenomenal Zin there that pairs excellent with cigars. One of my favorites from Paso is Opolo.
