I'm not in that line of work and I enjoy doing it. I have done plenty of rooms for friends and family of the years. There is something about it that makes me concentrate and relax at the same time.
I'm too old for that s**t now I smoke a cigar and watch:smokingbo I hire people for that, concrete and roofing. Not that I can't do it I just don't want to.
I can do sheetrock and the initial mud job - no problem. The final coating and texturing I leave to the experts ... but even then, I know they feel your pain. (Re: My recent home remodel saw the sheetrockers back out here 4 times before I signed off on the job and paid them.)
Sheetrock and plaster, are why I'm an electrician.
Have fun! :eyepoke:
My Dad owns a lath and plaster company, and they also used to do sheetrock, so I spent my summers (from 14 - 19) stocking it, hanging it, and smearing mud.
