I'm not in that line of work and I enjoy doing it. I have done plenty of rooms for friends and family of the years. There is something about it that makes me concentrate and relax at the same time.

yes it does, followed closely by insulation and painting anything.

Edit: Didn't read correctly, I thought you were sanding drywall. If you think the hanging and mudding is bad trust me it's going to get worse.

I can do sheetrock and the initial mud job - no problem. The final coating and texturing I leave to the experts ... but even then, I know they feel your pain. (Re: My recent home remodel saw the sheetrockers back out here 4 times before I signed off on the job and paid them.)

My Dad owns a lath and plaster company, and they also used to do sheetrock, so I spent my summers (from 14 - 19) stocking it, hanging it, and smearing mud.
