So I just send out a package to a fellow BOTL in a medium flat rate USPS box. $11.30!!! for two day shipping (no other options).

How do you guys go about sending packages without going to the post office? What's best and cheapest?

Print postage from my home computer and then schedule a pick up or just give to any mail man I see when I'm out. Still its 11.30 for a MFR

Remove the spaces. It's PalPay's Click n Ship link. Same as USPS but without the need for an additional account and also let's you ship first class without an upgraded account. You're welcome.

I think most of us here use USPS flat rate boxes for convenience and efficiency.
$5 and change to send a fiver anywhere in the US is a pretty good value, especially considering the ease of the click n ship option to pick up right from your doorstep.
You can also request free boxes to be delivered to you at no charge...

Honestly, I have yet to find a cheaper option for international shipping than USPS First Class. It's about double what a domestic shipment would cost, but its going to another country, so it seems like a legit trade off. Certainly still less expensive than any other method I've looked at.

I've used USPS First Class quite a number of times and have never had an issue. Although I'm getting the impression USPS is having issues of late...
