Short Humi Time Cigars?

Padrons are excellent fresh. Ill also smoke Oliva Vs & Illusione "Original Docs" (med/full) fresh out of the humidor at the B&M. My Father Le Bijou and Blue Labels also havent failed me yet. Lots of others, those are fairly ubiquitous.
I would also recommend the DPG Blue, with emphasis on the lance, corona, or robusto being the most robust vitolas. If you decide on the Padrons, I've found that the anniversary series smoke best right away and the x000 series benefit from a period of rest.
That's a completely different issue than delivered cigars. Most of the B&M's I've been to keep their cigars way too humidified. Those I rarely smoke within a few weeks if I can help it.
And is there a budget with your original question?

It all comes down to your tastebuds, and your sources.
For example, @Merovius likes DPG Blue Labels fresh, where as I prefer several years. Neither of us is wrong, it's just personal preference.
Also, most large scale online vendors (and most brick and mortar stores) keep their sticks too wet, and they need time to acclimate to my preferred lower rh once I receive them.

Ok problem is I am having friends over to smoke a couple of cigars this weekend. My humidor is full of fresh cigars, some of which I purchased about 3 weeks ago the rest arrived yesterday. I'm trying to decide what to smoke this weekend. Will the three week old humi cigars be ok? or should I pick up a couple from the B&M and "dry box" them

Now we're moving away from the best tasting fresh cigars, to the optimum treatment of fresh cigars. I've smoked hundreds of cigars in lounges that I've bought on the spot and the vast majority have been good cigars. Were they perfect, probably not, but if you're smoking with friends I wouldn't worry about it to much. Dry box them if you want, or dry box a few from your humidor.
I didn't intend to move away from the "best tasting" fresh cigars. I would still like to be able to order cigars that I can smoke within a week or so of receiving. So many of the cigars I have ordered the reviewer, Katman normally, talks about how they improve dramatically with a couple of months rest. I would like to identify cigars I like that I can order and smoke within a week or so of delivery.
I do appreciate your help, hope I'm not being a pain and asking for an answer to a question that really doesn't exist. From this thread I think I understand that in 2 or 3 weeks most anything I order should be close, 85 - 90% of what they will taste like in a couple of months.

It's all connected, at least to cigar nerds. DPG Blue might taste great fresh, but not at 70%.
@Baudi, we're all cigar nerds, so we have pretty specific preferences. Many of us have experimented over years to figure out what our rh preference is and what sort of cigars we like to smoke fresh and what we like to age. So there's collective wisdom here, but it might be too advanced for your purposes. Frankly, if you're new to the game your tastebuds may not be able to detect all the differences.
What is your stash at? If you're storing them at 69%, its not going to make much of a difference. Just smoke whatever you want and you'll all probably enjoy them.
