Should I Try This

A guy at my local B&M says that this (Vegas Robaina Unico) is comparable to a Monte #2. In that I smoked a fake Monte I am a bit leary. What's everyone's take on this stick?

In no way are they comparable VR are very strong tobacco flavor were the Monte 2 is more coffee with a medium tobacco taste.

I think the guy at the local BM is smoking the fakes.LOL

The only stick comparable to the Monte would be the Dip 2 but a little milder but not as of late as the late 06 Dip 2 are much stronger than years past.

I hear tell that VR is an awesome stick. Very different from the M2. Guys are right; stronger and less copied...so I hear.

Are you asking about the VR or the Monte? Wording is ambiguous.

I agree with Jimmy, the VR Unicos and Monte are similar in that they are both figurados. Beyond that, the similarities stop. I prefer the Monte over the Unicos, but the Unicos ain't bad!

From the sound of it you are in the market for both. :stretchgr

I don't think you can count the Monte #2 if it was a fake.

Of the VR's I've had they've had a very straightforward tobacco flavor, very unlike the Montecristo. VR's remind me of VSG's in term of flavor. Monte's are much less strong in general and much more preferable...that's simply my opinion.

In that Ratbert hooked me up... in about a week or so, I will put both the Monte 2 and the VR to their fiery deaths and I will weigh in on them both.
