Thought I would start up a thread so that those who hunt can show off their kills.

Here's one of mine from a trip to Pike County Illinois.

Man I have not been hunting in years. I have gotten a Deer but I was still young when that happened. We use to go Dove, Quail hunting when I was growing up, I wouldn't mind trying my hand at hunting again.

And nice Buck you got there.

Killed a biggin' like this outside yesterday.

I've been meaning to get out this year for whitetail, but haven't got my poop in a group. I'm hoping that my 45-70 qulifies as a cowboy cartridge for Indiana, otherwise I'll have to go with shotgun or blackpowder.

Very Nice. Yea, I got the same issues with staging. I am missing the bow season but plan to head out for rifle. Was this fine kill taken with a bow or rifle?

Compound or traditional, Hendy?
Not a traditional type of guy in terms of bow hunting. Shoot a Matthews SQ2. Very manuverable bow. Cam distance is only 31". But it is a f'in rocket. Boosted to 70#. Firing Carbon Express CS Hunter shaft with Blaser feathers topped off with a Montec G5 one piece broadhead. It's a killer combination.

Indeed a manuverable bow. Good for beginners and veterans. I had a traditional Martin; lent it to an uncle never to see it again. Though I have been looking at some recurves that catch me attention lately...

Nice! My dad used to own an archery store, so I always toured around doing archery shoots and hunting when I was younger. Haven't had time for big game in a while, but I still have my Matthews MQ1. I've taken a few deer and elk and a corsican ram. Almost got a bighorn sheep.

I didn't kill this guy, but here is a cat fish I pulled in while fishing on the ohio (early summer) .

I am guessing it was around 30lbs.

The crappy camera phone didn't get the whole fish in this shot.

Rifle season opens Nov 1, I haven't shot my bow in years...

I can't duck out on trick-or-treating with my daughter, so I've taken vacation days for the 3rd and 4th.

I'll report back with any harvest.
