I really love living in the desert, that being said I really hate walking outside for my evening smoke and being confronted by a 3 ft. rattlesnake in my backyard.
First you yell it and then you do it, After cleaning myself up (Yes Sheryl, I used more than a single sheet) I attended to business. One less rattler in Mr. Oneaday's neighborhood.
I was so excited I forgot to have my cigar, I'll have to smoke two today.

Dont have to worry about down here. We get small ones every once in a while. I really only have to worry about the alligators. The other day I was smoking on the proch and at the edge of the bank was a small 5 footer. Dogs were upset that they had to stay on the porch and couldnt go out to mess with the gator.

A friend of mine has golden labs and has them snakized every year. Electric collar with caged rattlers along the trail. Gets them used to the scent and a shock every time they see one from a safe distance. He claims it works.......

I hate snakes. We got a ton of garden snakes in are back yard. However in CT we do have rattlers and copper heads.
