Hey all

A about a month ago I met up with some brothers here in the Chicago area.....I had a great time but ended up leaving early. My wife did ask if I was free to meet her, but she also said if I was still out having fun that I should stay out. I choose to leave, not to meet my wife but because I was not doing feeling well. I have been dealing with a medical issue which has keep me from enjoying the leaf as it were. I picked up and had a T52 at the herf which was fantastic but I over did it, thinking I can just pick up where I left off some 2-3 months ago was a bad idea. Which brings me to my apology to all that were there....I am sorry I was not better company and that I stretched the truth a bit about why I had to leave. I owe you all a repeat but, I will bring the rum, scotch and bourbon this time.

After some thought, I am not going to give up this hobby, I enjoy it way too much.....I just need to take it a bit easy and slow to get back to enjoying as much as I once did.

Soooooo.....Smalls/shorts !!!!

I am looking for everyone's recommendations on smalls, mainly NCs as they are going to be much more in the budget until I am back to my old self.

Thanks,

Jeremy

No apology needed brother! We had a great time and we will put another one together soon!

You can go wrong with Tat PCR's, Baitfish, VSG Tres Petite, Room 101 Papi chulos (nak. And Daruma), MF LB 1922 petit robos, DE Papas Fritas, Winston Churchill Lancasters, Illusione ~888~, AF Magnum (whatwver the small one is ;) ), Viaje Shorts, AVO Heritage Petit robos, and maybe even the occasional DE Natural Dirt.

Brother, I don't know you but great post. Takes a good person to apologize for things even when there isn't one needed like this instance. I don't know what health problems you might have, but I wish you well because this great hobby is good for the soul giving time to reflect and good time with good people.

I don't know what flavor profile of cigars you prefer, but don't count out CC's because of cost. You can get some damn good short CC's like the Ramon Allones Small Club Coronas, San Cristobal El Principe, Party Shorts, Boli CJ as well as many Petit Coronas like the Monte #4, PL PC's, H.Upmann PC's etc all from the upper 3 bucks to $5 a cigar.

Thanks all for the suggestions I will be picking up a few post New Years.

And I know you guys may not have noticed me not feeling well/cutting out early. But ya know these things weigh on your mind.

Plus, I have a friend or two in the bourbon industry that I may ask to get some good stuff for the next get together.

I picked up a bundle of the AJ Fernandez Overruns petite coronas and really enjoy them. Hell of a deal for $1.50 a smoke. Obsidian is a great smoke as well and it's available in a 4.5x44 size.

What Aloha said, times 10. I don't know you, but I admire your integrity. You are a stand up guy, and I wish you well!

Partagas Shorts, Bolivar Coronas Junior and the Montecristo #4 are among my favorites and are as budget friendly as most NC's of similar caliber. Good luck, and a Prosperous, safe and Happy New Year to you!
