SmartPhone Ordered

We were talking about SmartPhones a while back and I said I'd be ordering one when it FINALLY came out. Was due in Jan 07, then April, June, July, Sep. It was released today and I placed the order. After taxes and not including the plan upgrade, it came to $174. I assume the $50 mail in rebate will still apply too.

BTW, if you have a Verizon account, and are due $100 off on a phone upgrade (new in two plan), be sure to go thru the upgrade procedure from your account. Just selecting a new phone doesn't catch all the discounts.

I have a Treo which is nearing EOL (at least for me) for as much as I love a fine cigar, I love tech toys equally if not more. My wife accuses me of having a cemetary full of old tech toys. How dare her... Just because I worked in the User Test Group for Intel and manage an IT shop. These are not toys... they are live trade journals.

the 750 is better and you can use it as a wireless modem for your laptop if you donj't have a wi-fi card or your laptop does not have built in wireless.

I like my Treo 755p from sprint, and the new Centro which is basically a redesigned case looks sweet, but Sprint only right now.

I have the program installed to get access to the internet from my treo, with the unlimited data plan I have its great.

The phone I went to was the AT&T Tilt. It has built in GPS, albeit at a cost. I love this phone.

It's pretty cool. Something I haven't tried is ditching the data plan for Verizon all together because wireless should still give you connectivity in your favorite hot spots. There are so many modifications, upgrades and hacks out there it's impossible to stop tinkering with this thing.

The touch screen on my i760 crapped out after about 6 months. I'm waiting on Verizon to release new phones as the i760 is no longer available due to EDVO issues.
