Greetings Brothers
. and in a hope not to offend, Sisters just in case.
I come to join your merry band of misfits in hopes to gain knowledge, share wisdom and just have fun. I had my first stick just out of Navy boot camp over 20 years ago, but never became a daily smoker. Today I smoke no more than a few per week, and some weeks none, but my passion for these fiery devils is stronger than ever. A few years back I came to realize that in this hectic world, many of the fond memories I have of good times and great friends were enhanced by the time dedicated to a slow burning savory cigar. I believe today that a cigar with a good friend makes the friend better, because as we all know, friends cost time. Ill go farther to say that a special cigar makes a special event more memorable, and since I have started building a collection of notable cigars I can recall birthdays, weddings, promotions, anniversaries and others by the cigar I had that day. Ill be forty this summer and have 8 Forbidden Opus X waiting for a special dinner party, Ive had Partagas 150s with numerous friends, Smoked a God of Fire from the balcony of the Al Capone suite at the Biltmore, and marked special occasions with the likes of Opus, ISOM, Pre Embargos, VSG, ESG, Vision, 1964s, 1926s, etc. I have one cigar in my Humi a Gurkha HMR that Im saving for either retirement or murder/suicide with the wife, weve agreed that divorce is out of the question. She by the way is too cool, so sexy and lets me do whatever I want, part of the reason I feel my life is perfect.
Anyway, this has gotten very long, hello to all, if any of you are local we can compare notes of where to get what sticks for the best price and maybe meet at an event or something. By the way, as everyone seems to be searching for the good cheap daily smoke, Ill throw my two votes out there as the Punch Champion and the La Gloria reserve (not the R series).
Cheers!
