Smoked my 1st cc last night

A buddy of mine decided to give up cigar smoking so he asked me if I would like a few of the cigars in his humi which he is splitting up among friends of ours who smoke cigars. Didn't know he had acquired some cc's a few yrs back in 09 and when I opened his humi to grab a few sticks he said I could take one monte #2 and a cohiba piramides I was so stoked. Since he had let them sit for awhile I decided to smoke the cohiba which was awesome and save the monte. Now I need to save a little cash to aquire some more.

Was it an Edición Limitada from 2001, 2003 or 2006? Just wondering because the Piramides Extra's weren't released until 2012 so he couldn't have gotten them in '09. And even the '06 would have been hard to find 3 years later.

1st thing I thought of... did the cigar have a 2nd band and if so, what did it say? Any pics? Just want to make sure you know what you are smoking... good thing you liked it though. There have been many people that have tried "cuban cigars" and thought they sucked, didn't want to try them again only to learn later on they were fake cigars.

Maybe I'm wrong on the type of cohiba it was it didnt have the second band it just had the single band which I looked up and it is legit band it was a torpedo style cigar about 5in n maybe 50 or 52 ring gauge perfect construction beautiful wrapper and an amazing smoke no expert on cc's for sure but been smoking nc'c for about 5 yr n this cigar blew them out of the water maybe good a fake then lol ill try to post pic of the monte later n cohiba band

dude, i have had poor real cubans and decent fakes. but a real CC at its best is very hard to beat.

more importantly, you had a buddy try to do a solid by you, and i hope you enjoy the crap out of them! o)

Yeah I agree I was happy with the sticks and maybe it was a good fake I dont know being my 1st cc I didnt asked what the sticks were when he gave me them just assumed what they were lol I'll post a pic of the Monte #2 n get some opinions on it

Congrats! That's a pretty freakin' pricey cigar for your first Cuban, dang, lol! Glad you enjoyed it, I haven't had one myself.

My first CC was a PSD4.
