Just a quick intro. My name is Max and I live in the Seattle area. I've been smoking seriously for about 2 years now. My interest in cigars came about through a great friend and some other hobbies.
My good friend Brad got me interested in the leaf when I was 18. He used to make his own cigarettes with this cool old machine. Good times. In my early 20's I fell in love with mechanical watches and watchmaking. Both handmade watches and handrolled cigars have a lot in common. The process for either hasn't really changed much in the last century or so. It takes time and skill as well as passion to do either well. Not very common in this digital age.
I've gotten serious about cigars in the last couple of years as a result of my working enviroment. I work in cellular retail and when I transferred from my home town of Eugene to Seattle the group of guys in my store were really into cigars as well. It worked out great.
I'm here to read and learn. I'm always looking to try something new.
