Hey guys,

I haven't smoked as much in 2010 as I have in the past and since I've moved to Florida from Michigan. I've noticed that I've developed some pretty significant allergies that I never had any problems with when I lived in Michigan. Must be the different vegetation down here. Just wondering if any brothers smoke with allergies or struggle with this kind of thing? I regularly have one nostril plugged which would severely limit my ability to enjoy a cigar. I know the obvious response is to go to a doctor or get something OTC for allergies..I just hate to spend the money on something I never had a problem with before. I'm just wondering if anyone is in the same boat as me and what you do about it.

Yeah Jay, same boat I have had allergies for years now. I've had to take numerous allergy medicines just to make it bearable. My ent just put me on to Omnaris...wonderful stuff look into it. I have to make sure I don't have a flare up before smoking because just one clogged nostril throws off the whole thing..total waste of time even smoking. A Jay Omnaris!

I bought the nettie pot too but I'm having fear issues with the idea of waterboarding myself. I'm afraid it will feel like I'm drowning!

x whatever on the neti pot. That thing works wonders.

Also there are some really good over the counter allergy medicines, I forget what I use at the moment but will look into it.

Try local honey for a while. Your body should start forming the antibody/antigen complexes with the honey helping. Try it in coffee or just a spoon of it a day for a few months. It should start making your allergies subside a bit.

I am not one to be affected by allergies really but all those pine trees down south are hell with the pollen they unleash. I swore it was a bizarro world of Prince where it was yellow rain one spring instead of purple rain.
