Snow in Chatsworth???? WTF

You guys have now idea how rare this is

Jax and I had to check it out. This is the mountain top I leased to run my cattle on. I have been all over every inch of this mountain I have only seen snow on it one other time but no where near this much.

I went up on the hill. The wind was blowing so hard I could not even stand to take a picture. I bet it was blowing 110 mph up there. It was freezing. I was never that cold in my life.

I golf in Simi a few days a week. I have only been out here 18 years so I dont know anything about 40 years ago except I must have been warm because I was 4 yrs old and in Texas.

I grew up in Simi too, but moved up here in 1990.

Sure, all you cold weather climate folks laugh at us SoCal'ers when the temp gets near the 40's, and you're right....We are just not used to it!

Dude it was way colder than that up on the hill with those winds. My truck said it was degrees up there, but with those winds it was bone chilling cold. I felt 0 degrees in Chicago once and it was bearable. This was not bearable. I don know much about wind chill factors - but it was a factor LOL

In cities that have an elevation between 1000-2000 get snow about once every ten years. Between 2000-3000, at least once every 5 years...maybe more. Over 3000, every year. I've lived in Beaumont for 3 1/2years and have had snow in 2 different years. My house sits at 2100+.

Seriously? Your truck said it was degrees up there? Because degrees is cold.
One time I was in Wisconsin and it was degrees...I'll never forget how cold degrees felt.....

Well that sounds right we are less than a 1000 feet above sea level here but those hills are over 1000

We got hit by the storm after you guys. It was 1 degree here the other night. That is in the high desert of AZ. Trust me I could cut glass maybe steel with hard nipples. LOL. We had a lot of snow around here. They closed Interstate 17 and 40.
