I was up last night when it started, maybe around 3am. It was nice to see the flurries which turned into a nice snow fall. Woke up early as I had to drive down the NJ Turnpike back home.

Only saw one SUV with its front end in the center divider. People here in NJ certainly do not know how to drive in the snow.

Personally NJ people drive better then CT people in the snow.

We got about two inches here. Debating if I want to go shovel or not. Not enough for the snow blower to pick up. I need to buy one of those little models.

I traded for a Mustang GT convertable last week when it was 65-70 degrees.
I started driving it last Saturday and after sunday the weather dook a temp downturn. Just my luck.. always standing at the bus stop waiting on a train.

But as long as it gets in the 50's and some sunshine that top is going down.

I hope we do get some good snow this winter. I'm one of those sicko's that enjoys it. I love a good snow day. Stoke up the woodstove, have an extra few cups of coffee, a cigar and a good book. Go outside every once in a while and play with the pup in the snow.
I think it's good for people. Forced relaxation. Neighbors who normally only nod at each other are actually talking, even if it's just to bitch about the weather. A couple years ago we had 3 feet of snow and were stuck here for a couple days. Several neighbors and I got together to shovel out the driveway of an elderly lady down the street and then we just did everybodys. It went a lot faster with a group of people shoveling. We all got to know each other and the next thing you know people are visiting and checking up on everyone, stopping by to chat, helping out. The whole neighborhood has been much closer since then.

Man do I remember that snow Brian!
I lived closer to the city then and everyone that parked on the street got their cars snowed in for four days.

We got very lucky though if you remember. The very next week we got over two inches of rain. They say that one inch of rainfall is equal to 10 inches of snow...if that's true, and if it was cold enough to snow, we would have been screwed with a capitol 'S'.

I used to like snow until I got a motorcycle. Now I just want it to be nice all year. Not too hot, not too cold, maybe 70-75 every day, light rain at night when needed, no mosquitos, no high humidity... am I asking too much?

I thought about getting a motorcycle or large scooter and decided against it for this reason. Instead now I am going to save up for a car.

If I lived in some place without icy winters or got a place in the city it would save on gas, insurance etc to get a 2 wheeled vehicle

I don't think you're asking too much but I bet mother nature will knock you back into reality!
