This smoke is INTENSE in Seal Beach. 1/4th of a mile visibility!!!

I don't miss the fires. I used to watch the hillside burn at lunch when I worked in Azusa. The flames were just on the otherside of the freeway, wreaked hell on my sinus.

We tried to play golf at Rivera today, but the wind was too crazy. I don't know how the fire fighters do it. My hats off to them!

Crazy stuff. I had to take my daughter to the ER this morning, and the place was packed. Not with patients, but with people who were displaced by the fires in Anahiem, about 20 miles north of us. There were dozens of apartment buildings destroyed last night. Almost all them lost everything they own, some only wearing pants and slippers. I bought a pack of cigarettes and brought them back for some guys who were still waiting for social services to place them in a hotel. They woke up with enough time to grab kids and get out. No keys,wallets credit cards, pictures etc.. I can't imagine.

And my daughter will be fine, just an allergic reaction.

I guess my old hood is safe. Anahiem High is an evacutaion center, and that's like right across the street from the neighborhood.

I live near Disneyland and we had lots of smoke but no threat of fire. No need to smoke any cigars this weekend, just a walk around the block will do it. I am disappointed I didn't smoke anything this weekend as I just didn't feel up to it. Headaches from the fire smoke really curb that desire to smoke cigars. This past week has been a low for me of only smoking 2 cigars in a week (both on Friday) since I got serious about smoking. If anyone can send some clean air this way, it would be much appreciated.
